In extreme emotional pain, she thought of all the days that had passed by. Did he not even think once before leaving? This was the question crossing her mind, every now and then, as she sat up on her bed and then lay down again. Finally, she mustered up the courage to leave her bed and went to stand by the window, wondering that is this how a relationship should end? Her mind felt clogged and strange thoughts were crossing her mind.
Suddenly, a sharp wave of pain swept through her chest towards her lower body. Tears started streaming down her eyes. Tired and exhausted, head pounding hard, she forced her body in the upward direction in order to get up. She agonizingly picked up the thermometer and checked her body temperature; 103°C.
“Maybe I should eat something” she thought, “And then take medicine along with hot milk. My work is suffering, so is my life.” Arduously, she managed to get up to make something for herself. She wanted to have something light. “An omelette would be fine with some tea and bread” she thought.
She ate and then swallowed some medicine. Lying down on her bed, feeling vulnerable, she thought, “Am I the only one in pain?” An hour later, she was drenched in sweat. “Thank God!” she muttered and opened her notebook to write what she had endured today.
