On a windy day, Lisa was walking down the road to the grocery store, thrilled and excited as it was her favorite time of the year, Spring. Lisa was a twenty-five year old independent girl, living in an apartment she had inherited from her father. She had lost both her parents in mid-teenage. She was used to living on her own.

Her features resembled those of the models in America. With a 5’8’’ height, she had an overall soft-featured face. Her chin, nose and jaws were not pointed neither were her cheekbones very prominent. Her hair had a beautiful mousy brown color. Her eyes were blue and beautiful, the type you could delve deep into. Her facial features were small and soft.

Walking down the road, earphones in her ears, humming gently, she was heading towards the grocery store. Suddenly, she sensed someone on her right gazing at her. She felt an instantaneous shock wave cross her chest. Thrilled Looking at the right, she saw a girl, approximately the same age as her, looking intently at her. Her gaze was somewhat perturbing. Lisa increased her pace. The girl changed direction and started walking towards her.

As the girl came close to Lisa, she noticed that the girl was the same who followed her almost every day; her doppelgänger. Scared, Lisa started to walk away from her doppelgänger. But the girl still followed. Lisa lost track of her way to the grocery store out of fright and started racing towards her apartment. While running with a pounding heart, she looked back to find that the girl was still following her. “What is her problem? Why does she follow me every day? Why does she resemble me to such a great extent?” Lisa thought frantically. She ran straight into her house, closed the door behind her, her heart pounding. She wished to never see her doppelgänger again.
